«My hero of the Great Patriotic War» The Great Patriotic War brought a lot of grief to our people. My great-great-grandfathers were not spared either. There are two great-grandfathers on my mother's side Vasily Trofimovich Romashov was born in 1904 and Pavel Nikolaevich Orozov was born in 1907. Vasily Trofimovich came to Tashtyp from the Orel region. He really liked it here, and he moved his family here. He was drafted in August 1941, and went missing in December 1941. Nothing else is known about him. Pavel Nikolaevich lived in the village of Shepchul, he was drafted in 1942. He died on 23 December 1942. He was buried in the village of Yastrebenka, Kiev region, Ukraine. Both grandfathers had children and wives. On Dad's side, great-great-grandfather Gavril Vasilyevich Chuchumakov, born in 1904, lived in the village of Shepchul. He went missing on September 7, 1942. Nothing else is known about him either. Daddy 's mom 's dad just got back. Innokenty Evgenievich Todanov, lived in Tamalyk. Dad remembers him, he spent his childhood with them in the summer.
